Running Boy
A school-aged boy is depicted running forward. He has one arm curved behind him gracefully to indicate his swift movement. He wears a short coat, which appears to trail in the wind. He looks straight forward with excitement.

Provenance/Story: The archive for this unique work includes documents, letters, and photos from Ms. Manske herself. She explains and discusses this and other small sculptures she was working on at the time. Many of these were for Glen Sundby and the International Gymnastics Museum in San Diego. Hopping appears to have purchased this and one other small sculpture at the time he commissioned the FINA Prize Eminence from Ms. Manske.
